✿ Sustainability ✿
My goal is to lessen my carbon footprint while running this little shop. I will always be looking for ways to play my part in keeping this earth green, and while I’m not perfect, I have already taken some steps towards making Haroodles a more eco-friendly business!
Packaging
Clear Bags
The clear bags used to pack large charms, stickers, and small prints are made from plant-based pla (Polylactic Acid) material and are commercially compostable.
(The packaging for phone charms & pins are unfortunately not eco-friendly, but I am doing my best to find a better alternative.)
Cardboard Boxes
The small boxes that I use to keep items like resin crafts safe during transit are made of cardboard and can be recycled or reused.
Chipboard
Flat items shipped in a parcel may include a small piece of recyclable cardboard to prevent any damage during transit.
Envelopes
The envelopes that I use to ship flat item orders are made from recycled paper.
Other details
I have invested in a thermal printer to save paper and ink when creating shipping labels for packages!
When I craft with resin, I do my utmost best to reuse my tools as much as possible, such as cleaning and reusing my plastic measuring cups, q-tips, gloves, and I will even try to use up any excess resin if possible so it doesn’t go to waste.
If the option is available, when ordering acrylic charms, I will request for manufacturers to use more eco-friendly packaging.
